Regular Price for Driver Education course $640 does not include RMV certificate

After 9/01/07 there will be payment plans available

•     30 hrs of class
•     12 hrs of driving
•     6 hrs of observation
•     2 hr Parent Class

Parent Class: Required two-hour parent/guardian class on the driving skills and rules their children should be learning and practicing throughout the driver education experience.

Road Test Services

SDS offers convinient Road Test Servise during a week and Saturday Mornings @ Brockton RMV.

There is a fee of $85 during a week and $90 on Saturday.

- Pick up from home, Saturday from Sharon or Easton and driving student to RMV and back
- Scheduling a Road Test convient for students time
- Driving school car for Road Test
- Professional Driving Instructors as Sponsor for Road Test

DRIVER'S EDUCATION COURSE HAS TO BE COMPLETED (DRIVING AND OBSERVATION) WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF THE FIRST CLASSROOM SESSION. CLASS ROOM SESSIONS HAVE TO BE MADE UP IN 6 MONTH.

SDS OFFERS FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE DURING REGULAR SCHOOL YEAR.  FOR INTENSIVE COURSES DECEMBER, FEBRUARY, APRIL AND SUMMER STUDENTS HAVE TO SIGN UP IN ADVANCE AND STAY WITH THAT SCEHDULE
 

To schedule your driving lesson a student must have the following:
•     You have to have MA learners Permit with you at all times and white student cards
          - We will pick you up at your door within a reasonable distance from the school, call to check if you are within out pick up range
          - Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or your account will be charged $40
          - There will be a $25 fee charged for all Returned Checks

There is no refund if the student does not take driving lessons. Moving from the area is not a reason for refund but some extenuating circumstances will be considered.

Any kind of disruptive behavior in a car or in classroom sessions, like argument with SDS instructors, for any reason will result expulsion from Sharon Driving School without refund.

1. Classroom instructions (30 hrs)

Minimum Age is 15.9 month for classroom sessions

•  Consists of 30 hrs of classroom session time for the purpose of educating and familiarizing students with MA motor vehicle law and of safe and proper operations in accordance with the guidelines set by the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

•  Class topics are 1-15, that could be taken at any order. During school year every 4 weeks classes are repeated.

 Summer classes consist of 10 (3 hr long) classes  

•     1-2 week intensive vacation courses are offered signing up for these classes needs to be done in advance

Requirements of classroom sessions:

•  Properly maintained notebook and a pen (provided by students)
•  Pass periodic quizzes given at teacher's discretion
•  Driver's manual from RMV must be brought in by students
•  Passing final exam with 70 % score

2. Driver Lessons

1.     A valid MA Learners Permit
2.     Balance must be current and up-to-date
3.     Student white cards

Road lessons are broken down into two hour sessions where a student will drive 1 hour and observe 1 hour. Road lessons could be scheduled 7 days a week. Scheduling must be done in advance by students.

On-Road instructions are scheduled separately from classroom session times, after completing at least half of classroom session hrs.

Your appointment with Sharon Driving School, Inc is your assurance that your dual control car and your Instructor is reserved and waiting for you at these appointed hours. If for any reason you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so that we may give it to someone else.

If less than 24 hours notice is given, there will be charge of $40. THAT CHARGE WILL BE MADE TO STUDENTS ALSO IF THEY HAVE NO PERMIT AT A TIME OF A LESSON.
